Ship the smallest useful product without painting yourself into a rewrite.

An MVP should be small, not disposable. I look for the thinnest path that proves value, then leave room for the next layer of features.
That means choosing schemas that can expand, UI patterns that can absorb complexity, and auth that will not need to be reinvented later.
Speed still matters. The difference is intentional shortcuts versus accidental ones. Intentional shortcuts have an exit plan.
If your MVP needs to become a real product, build it like one from the start — just with a tighter scope.

A compact delivery checklist I use from discovery to go-live on marketing and product sites.

Why I ship many client marketing sites with Next.js and Vercel for speed, SEO, and low ops overhead.
